Weekend Update [3.24.25]

It was another nice weekend!

Friday

After work, I got to work on putting together one of five bikes for our upcoming Community Egg Hunt. We will be giving away six, but only one was in store and assembled. When the other five arrived, they needed to be assembled, and since I like to put things together, I volunteered. As you can see, the package had a rough journey, so I figured a lot of nuts, bolts, and screws were probably missing, if not more. Fortunately, only one nut, bolt, and washer was missing, and it was for the same connection. I got the bike put together and decided I would go to Lowe’s to get the missing fasteners. It wasn’t worth the hassle of having to send it back or wait for them to send the missing fasteners.

Saturday

I had a 5K Saturday morning, and those are usually later than I normally run, but I still got up at the same time. I fed the cats, made my bed, and sat down to read my Bible Recap scriptures for the day.

not the best picture but she’s still cute 😉

After a little bit of time, I got dressed and headed to the run. (I had about a 30-45 minute drive). I got there, picked up my shirt and bib number, and waited for it to start. This race is a fundraiser for an organization that I care about, so I was glad to be able to participate.

After the run, I stopped at Lowe’s to get the missing fasteners and then headed home. I made myself a cup of coffee, rested for a little bit while drinking it, and then went outside to finish the first bike and start on the second one. I got both finished! These are the two biggest. I have one medium bike, and two small ones left.

After that, I went inside, showered, worked on laundry, ate supper, watched Elementary, and then read for a little while before falling asleep.

Sunday

Sunday was church 🙂 It was great, as always! I love going to church.

Church was followed by lunch at our local Sunday buffet and then did some grocery shopping before heading home for the rest of the afternoon/evening.

Happy Monday!
