Wednesday Hodgepodge [12.18.24]

Happy Wednesday, friends! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup! Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1. What’s one thing you want to get done before the calendar flips to a new year?

I hope to have my 2025 planner ready before the calendar flips. I had high hopes last year but it was a few days into 2024 before I even cracked it open LOL. I’m aiming higher this time!!

2. What’s something that brought a smile to your face this year?

For one, despite the heartbreak, the kind words from so many people after my grandmother’s passing. On a much MUCH lighter note, highland cows 🙂 but really, everything about the trip to London and Scotland with my mom and my best friend. (I am working on getting those posts together so be expecting those soon!)

3. What do you like on a cracker? Do you have a favorite cracker variety?

Cheese or some kind of spread (such as a cheese ball), almost always; tuna, usually with Triscuits. Triscuits are my favorite variety. There are so many different flavors and they are all good, but my favorites are Cracked Pepper, Garden Herb, and Dill, Sea Salt & Olive Oil.

4. Do you have plans for ringing in the new year in a fun or special way? Are you typically awake at midnight on the last day of the year?

I have no plans other than staying at the house. I am typically not awake at midnight anymore, but sometimes I will stay up. It really just depends on what time I’ve gotten up that morning, and what I’ve done that day. Since I’m still on Christmas/New Years break, it is possible that I will be awake, but then again, maybe not.

5.  What are three words that describe your 2024?

heartbreak, excitement, thrillifying (IYKYK)

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Christmas is a week away!! Also, I love that the New Year is a fresh start (or at least it feels that way to me).

  1. Joyce

I’m catching up on some of the Hodgepodges I missed recently and wanted to say thanks for joining in! My daughter is living in Cambridge and my 2-year old granddaughter is in love with the Highland Cows they’ve seen. I got her a stuffed one for Christmas and it was a hit. Happy new year to you!
