Ten Great Things Book Characters Have Said

Our topic for this week is things characters have said (Maybe a character said something really profound or romantic or hilarious or heartbreaking. You could share witty one-liners, mic-drop moments, snippets of funny dialogue between multiple characters, catchphrases, quotes that have become a part of pop culture–like “May the odds be ever in your favor.”, etc.). I am choosing to go with great quotes from book characters 🙂 There are so many great ones but here are ten of my favorites.

3. “It is nothing to die; it is dreadful not to live.” — Victor Hugo, Les Misérables
4. “It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.” (Dumbledore)― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
5. “Isn’t it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet?” — L. M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
6. “I wish, as well as everybody else, to be perfectly happy; but, like everybody else, it must be in my own way.” (Elinor Dashwood) — Jane Austen, Sense and Sensibility
7. “Time moves slowly, but passes quickly.” — Alice Walker, The Color Purple
8. “All human wisdom is summed up in these two words – ‘Wait and hope.’” — Alexandre Dumas, The Count of Monte Cristo
