It was a busy, but great New Year’s weekend!
Friday Night
Nothing exciting, like most Friday nights HA! I worked on laundry. I did enjoy being at home though. We watched episodes of Shetland while eating supper, and then I went to bed.
Saturday
I was up with the sun to get in a run. Yay!! It was cold but I don’t mind cold runs! I enjoyed seeing the Christmas decorations that were still out at the courthouse downtown.
Back at home, it was time for breakfast, Shetland, and relaxing.
I got church work completed, took a shower, ate supper, watched more Shetland, and then it was off to bed!
Sunday
I had a meeting at 8 am at church so I was up earlier than usual. Of course, we made the usual Starbucks stop on the way to church. Had the meeting, did Sunday School, church was awesome, and then we headed to Kroger.
As we pulled into the parking lot, my friends called, asking if I could be at their house at 2 (this was at 1:15…they did change it to 2:15 so I’d hopefully have time). They had just called and were able to get 4:00 reservations at a very AWESOME restaurant in a town about an hour and a half away. I did manage to get out of Kroger, get home, change out of church clothes, change into more casual clothes, and make it to their house with 1 minute to spare LOL. My food was DELICIOUS!!
I was back home by 7:30, with plenty of time to relax and get some blog work done.
Monday (NEW YEARS DAY)
I was up early for Resolution Run 2024 (our local running group has been doing this for the last few years. We get in as many miles as we want, take a group picture, then eat breakfast together. There are also door prizes given away. Last year and this year, we also received commemorative Coke bottles with Resolution Run on the label 🙂
After that, I went home and relaxed for the rest of the day. I wanted to enjoy what time I had left off, before returning to work the next day.
*linking up with Holly & Sarah for Hello Monday!
