Motivational, but Make it About Running

This week’s topic is a genre freebie, meaning we pick a genre and build a list around it. As I have some trail and road races coming up this fall, my mind has been on running so, I decided to make a list of motivational books, particularly about running. In most cases, the motivation from these books can also be applied outside of running.

1. Nowhere Near First – Cory Reese

2. A Runner’s High – Dean Karnazes

3. Strong – Kara Goucher

4. The Impossible Long Run – Janet Patkowa

5. Run The Mile You’re In – Ryan Hall

6. Pace – Ann Mandt Hall

7. Let Your Mind Run – Deena Kastor, Michelle Hamilton

8. Not Your Average Runner – Jill Angie

9. Confessions of an Unlikely Runner – Dana Ayers

10. Downhills Don’t Come Free – Jerry Holl

So, this isn’t a book about running, but it is still good, and it is outdoorsy and biking so I’m including it here (plus it’s a long ride so there are some lessons in it 🙂
