Monthly Musings : Spring Hosting, Decorating and Gardening

It’s time for another Monthly Musing!! This time I’m talking about spring hosting, decorating, and gardening.

1. Do you celebrate Easter, Passover, or another holiday in spring?

I do celebrate Easter. We also celebrated Palm Sunday by taking our church children outside, giving them palm branches, and they waved them as someone dressed as Jesus came through with a donkey.

2. Do you plant a garden? Any tips for those without a green thumb?

I do not plant a garden. I don’t have time to deal with it, and when I did try to grow vegetables (peppers and tomatoes), I wasn’t good at it, so I’ve given up. I wish I could, though LOL.

3. How do you decorate for Spring?

I don’t really decorate for Spring, but if I did, it would be bright colors or pastels. I would depend on the mood at the time of decorating.

4. Desserts that just say spring to you?

I’ve never thought about it, but what comes to my mind as I type this is anything lemon.

5. Favorite Spring flowers?

daffodils, tulips, azaleas, irises.

6. Best tips for hosting spring events?

Don’t LOL. Just joking. I’m not one for hosting, but I don’t mind attending. But, I’m sure I could if I needed to 🙂 Since I don’t host, I don’t really have tips, but I do know that I would plan, plan, plan ahead. I need a plan. I can’t just wing it.

7. Favorite beverage or cocktail that makes you think of Spring?

Lemonade. I could drink some right now!

8. Vegetable garden, flower garden, both, neither?

A flower garden, sort of. I would love to have a vegetable garden, but I am not good at keeping vegetables alive. I tried one time, and was not successful.

9. Favorite Easter/Passover candy?

Starburst jelly beans.

10. Marshmallow peeps? Gross or yes, please?

Gross. Nope. I don’t like them.
