Monthly Musings: Goals for the New Year {Dec. 2022)

Wow! It’s almost a new year! Time to start thinking about it and planning! (if you haven’t already)

1. Do you make resolutions/goals for the New Year?

Goals, yes. In the past, I would call them resolutions but those never work out. A goal is something to work toward and I’m always working toward a goal 🙂

2. Do you have diet/exercise goals?

HAHA! Each year is different. In 2021, I did pretty good. In 2022, I really had every intention of doing better, but then I started a new medicine and I had almost no energy, so running and going to the gym really died down. So, now that the medicine effects have leveled out, running and going to the gym is back at the top of the list.

to be honest, I really do hope the habit sticks for those who are new to the gym:)

3. Do you have personal/professional goals for 2023?

absolutely 🙂 I’ll share that later;)

4. Do you have a planner? Paper? Electronic? Combo?

a combo. I manage the church calendar and it is a digital/online calendar. I also have an Erin Condren Daily Duo planner, and that is where everything is planned out (church, running, blog posts, vacation, etc.)

5. Do you have a word or phrase for 2023?

Release. (a separate post on that later)

6. Ring in the New Year or asleep by 10pm?

I am going to try my best to stay awake until midnight, but we shall see. [UPDATE: I made it to midnight!!]

7. Favorite thing to do on New Years Day?

not setting an alarm LOL. However, this year, it is on a Sunday so I will be setting one to get up and go to church

8. Any travel plans for 2023?

most definitely. For one, Disney!

9. Things/events you are most looking forward to in 2023?

for one, see #8 😉

10. Will you be watching any bowl games on New Years or around New Years?

no

That meme about the New Year’s Resolutioners are coming to the gym made me laugh more than it should have 🙂 And I hope your medication side effects don’t come back and you’re able to get back to your regular routine.
