Happy Wednesday, friends! Let’s do this!! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup! Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1. The Hodgepodge lands on National Picnic Day…will you celebrate? Do you enjoy picnics? Dining out of doors picnic or otherwise? What are three or four things I’d find in your picnic basket?
Unless we happen to be having a picnic outside with the children at church, I will not be celebrating. If I’m being honest, I don’t really care for picnics. There are bugs. But I have done lunch break picnics while kayaking, and you would find a sandwich, chips, and water.
2. A time recently where you felt ‘antsy’?
Just this week, I found out that I need to go to a heart doctor just to be checked (something I had as a child, but have had no problem since), and while I know I am fine and this is just part of getting older, it makes me antsy having to go. But, like I said, I know I’m fine, but it is still something new, hence the antsy-ness.
3. As the saying goes…’when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.’ Do you like lemonade? When did you recently need to make lemonade out of lemons, figuratively speaking?
I do like lemonade, but I like it more sweet than sour, but I do want to taste the lemon LOL. I feel like our church sanctuary renovation has been a bit of “lemonade out of lemons”. We were almost finished and ready to move into it, and then it flooded. So, thanks to the restoration company, the work still happened, but we didn’t have to do it!

4. Recently, five ‘celebrities’ made a brief (11-minute) foray into space aboard Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket. Did you hear about this? Your thoughts? If money were no object, is this something you’d like to do someday?
I heard about it, but I don’t really have thoughts about it at all. I didn’t even read any articles about it. If money were no object, I do think I would like to go into space.
5. Favorite thing about the ‘space’ you’re sitting in right now?
I’m at home, not in the office, so that is a favorite. But as far as “things”, the cats are here with me:)

6. Insert your own random thought here.
Ok, so this is something I probably should have already figured out, but there is a British Sign Language. I know “our” sign language is ASL, which means American Sign Language, but I never thought about it being “American” until I was watching “The Chelsea Detective” the other day, and the medical examiner, who is also hearing impaired, was talking about BSL (British Sign Language). I learned something new!

Comments
I only like picnics when the bugs stay away!
I hope the heart appointment goes well.
I’ve heard of BSL & ASL but never realised that they meant British and American. You do learn something new every day.
