It was a low-key but productive weekend and I’m happy about it 🙂
Friday Night
Friday afternoon, my mom and I washed my grandmother’s vehicle for her. It is parked under a tree all the time so thanks to the tree sap, the pollen sticks to her vehicle, so it took us physically washing it to get it off (a carwash would not have gotten it off). While outside, I vacuumed the back of my vehicle where we had brought home drywall from Lowe’s.
Back inside and with showers done, I started working on laundry. Then it was time for supper, and then to bed, to read.
Saturday
Up early and got in a 6-mile run! That was followed by coffee and breakfast, “Doctor Blake Mysteries”, and more laundry.
Once breakfast was over, it was time to start working on the drywall, which was coat number two of drywall compound.
Once that was done, we were finished with drywalling for the day. I finished laundry, got a shower, and then went to eat with friends. I came home, did some church work, and then went to bed to read.
Sunday
Like most Sundays, I woke up early, fed the cats, and got ready for church. On the way to church, we stopped at Starbucks for cappuccinos and egg bites:) Once we both got to church, our work continued (mine as admin asst; my mom’s as media/lyric producer). We did stop to eat our breakfast. A typical morning means I am getting baptismal certificates signed, making copies and distributing the Service Order for the day, and making whatever other documents might need to be made. The rest of the time is usually spent still doing various other things I need to do. Sunday School was from 10:00 to 10:45, then the children came down for Worship. We had Worship and Word from 11:00 to 12:00-12:30.
Most Sundays, we go home and relax and work on getting things together for the week and that’s exactly what we did! Nowhere to go this time and it was wonderful! I did get a few church things done but I was at home, in my PJs, so I didn’t mind “working”. We ate supper, watch some “Doctor Blake Mysteries”, read a little, then went to bed.
