Happy first day of Spring! (although it doesn’t like spring this morning. It was 22 degrees…)
It was a mostly low-key weekend and I wasn’t upset about it at all 🙂
Friday Night
laundry. I always start laundry on Fridays (if I’m at home). After work, we did spend a little time watching the neighbor’s tree getting cut down. I know – exciting HAHA!
Other than that, we ate supper and watched “Doctor Blake Mysteries”, then I went to bed and read until I got sleepy.
Saturday
Up early to run! If you’ve been following along for a few weeks, I have laid my clothes out the night before, set an alarm, and tried to go running but would wake up with a sinus headache. Well, I mentioned maybe taking something before I went to bed on Fridays to try and prevent a headache. My mom suggested that I set an alarm 2 hours before my run alarm, to take a dose of sinus medicine. Well, it worked! Now…don’t think I like taking medicine even when I don’t need it, because I do not. I would rather not have to take any, but I also do not like having to miss a run, so I chose running and took the medicine. I got a chilly, but good 2.5-mile run in and then back to the house to change the sheets on my bed, followed by a cup of coffee and some reading.
It was Thai leftovers for breakfast while watching “Doctor Blake Mysteries” and then it was time for drywall repair.
Once the patches were taped and mudded, they needed to dry so drywalling work was finished for the day/weekend. So, it was time for church work and showers, followed by meatloaf and “Doctor Blake Mysteries” for supper, and then it was time for bed. I read (finished a book) and then started another one before falling asleep.
Sunday
Like most Sundays, I woke up early, fed the cats, and got ready for church. On the way to church, we stopped at Starbucks for cappuccinos and egg bites:) Once we both got to church, our work continued (mine as admin asst; my mom’s as media/lyric producer). We did stop to eat our breakfast. A typical morning means I am getting baptismal certificates signed, making copies and distributing the Service Order for the day, and making whatever other documents might need to be made. The rest of the time is usually spent still doing various other things I need to do. Sunday School was from 10:00 to 10:45, then the children came down for Worship. We had Worship and Word from 11:00 to 12:00-12:30. Most Sundays, we go home and relax and work on getting things together for the week. But this Sunday, we had our ladies’ get-together: “Mugs & Muffins”. We fellowshipped, ate breakfast foods, and played a dirty Santa-type game with coffee mugs (I took zero pictures). Once that was over, I came home, read a little, then went to bed.
*linking up with Holly & Sarah for Hello Monday!

What a cozy little weekend! Awesome job on your run!
Thank you!
We had a tree cut down in our yard a couple years ago and it was great entertainment! LOL.
haha yes, it was! I was a little stressed though because none of them had on safety glasses. The only PPE I saw was the guy in the tree who did have a strap and safety line, but I was worried about the sawdust getting in their eyes too.
