It was not a busy weekend but it was productive.
Friday Night
It was a low-key Friday night. I started laundry, ate dinner, read some, and went to bed.
Saturday
Unfortunately, I did not get a run in because I woke up with a headache. I’m sure it was a combination of the crazy up-and-down weather and the weather front bringing in the rain. Thankfully the headache did get better but it was too late to get that run in. We ate breakfast, watched Dr. Blake Mysteries, and then got started on patching up the drywall. We got the drywall patched in the kitchen…
…and then moved on to the office. We had more to get patched but we got it done!
Now it’s time for the taping, mudding, sanding, and painting. That’s what the next several weekends will consist of, minus Easter weekend.
After a shower, supper, and “Dr. Blake Mysteries”, it was time for bedtime, and reading (I finished the book I was reading).
Sunday
Like most Sundays, I woke up early, fed the cats, and got ready for church. On the way to church, I had to stop and get donuts for church (the lady that usually picks them up is out of town) so my mom stopped at Starbucks for cappuccinos and egg bites:) Once we both got to church, our work continued (mine as admin asst; my mom’s as media/lyric producer). We did stop to eat our breakfast. A typical morning means I am getting baptismal certificates signed, making copies and distributing the Service Order for the day, and making whatever other copies might need to be made, but this Sunday was “Next Steps” Sunday so I had to get the booklets ready and distributed for each class. The rest of the time is usually spent still doing various other things that I need to do. Sunday School was from 10:00 to 10:45, then the children came down for Worship. We had Worship and Word from 11:00 to 12:00-12:30. Most Sundays, we go home and relax and work on getting things together for the week. But this Sunday, because it was “Next Step” Sunday, we had “Lunch with the Pastors” after church, which is lunch for those who have completed the 3 “Next Step” classes. After lunch, I came home and went to visit my grandmother for a little while.
I did take some time outside to get pictures of these beautiful daffodils. They are my favorite and there are so many so I “had” to get a picture before they are gone.
Not too long after that, it was time for supper and “Dr. Blake Mysteries”, followed by reading (I started a new book), and then time for sleep!
