This will be fun because I’ve been at Disney! (There will a full post all about Disney soon)
Friday Night
Friday was Hollywood Studios day! So, after a full day at the park (riding all the rides we had wanted to ride: Rock n’ Roller Coaster, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, & Slink Dog Dash), we had dinner reservations at Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano. Dinner was delicious and then we went back to the room. We were tired (and we had no otehr rides we wanted to catch) so we went back to the hotel room to shower and rest. We knew the next day was Animal Kingdom day and we only had 3 rides we wanted to catch, so we planned to sleep in, and it was wonderful!
Saturday
Animal Kingdom day! As I mentioned above, we only had 3 rides that we “had” to do so we planned to sleep later, which was glorious! We did make 11am breakfast reservations (they had breakfast until 11:30) so we slept in, got dressed, ate breakfast, and headed to Hollywood Studios.
This park was walking distance from our resort so we walked over to the park. Our first ride was Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. Next we did Na’vi River Journey, which is a beautiful peaceful ride through Pandora’s (Avatar) bioluminescent rainforest. It was then time for our ride on Avatar’s Flight of Passage.
We had lots of time before our dinner reservation at Rainforest Cafe so we went for a ride with Kilimanjaro Safaris…
…and then we walked along the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail.
This was followed by shopping and a stop for Creature Comforts (aka Starbucks).
With time still left to kill, we discovered a new ride (or at least new to us), DINOSAUR, and then we walked back through “Avatar land” (that is not the official name lol) to take pictures.
It was almost time to eat but it started to rain so we went on into the Rainforest Cafe and looked around and waited for our time to check-in. The food was good and the atmosphere was “entertaining”.
After dinner, we caught the bus back to the resort for showers and sleep.
Sunday
Magic Kingdom day! We had a breakfast reservation at 9:15 so we were up early this morning. We had a lot to fit into the day. Plus, it was our last day. We had a ride time of 11:20 for Space Mountain and a 11:35 ride time for Mine Train. We hit the park wide open when we got there, but still had time to get in some shopping before our first ride. We even got to see a parade.
After those two, we rode Big Thunder Mountain. We had plenty of time before our Pirates of the Caribbean ride so we were able to fit in the Winnie the Pooh ride and Jungle Cruise….and time to stop for a snack. We managed to catch another parade 🙂
We had a 6:45 reservation for Tony’s Town Square Restaurant (which is where Lady & the Tramp had their first kiss 😉 ). We were also about to get in a ride through “It’s a Small World”.
After dinner, we watched Enchantment, the lights & fireworks show at Cinderella’s Castle. Then it was time to go back to the resort to pack for the flight back home.
*linking up with Holly & Sarah for Hello Monday!
