It was a busy, but great weekend!
Friday Night
Nothing exciting to report for Friday night. I had worked 2 hours over so that didn’t leave much time for anything other than visiting my grandmother, eating supper while watching Shetland, and then it was bedtime.
Saturday
I was up around 7 (with an alarm so I didn’t sleep too long and end up with a headache). I fed the cats and fixed myself some coffee and a piece of toast.
I had signed up to participate in a 1-mile fun run (“Jolly Jog”) but it had been raining all morning and was still raining as the start time got closer and closer. Since the rain didn’t seem to be letting up, they canceled the run. The run is always fun (and for a great cause) but honestly, I wasn’t disappointed that it was canceled. It gave me more time on my Saturday to get things done. I had quite a bit of things to get done for church, so having the extra time at home helped. I got most of the work done, and then it was time to go to the Christmas parade. The parade didn’t start until 5, but we wanted to eat beforehand and had decided to go to a new-ish restaurant that we had never been to, so we headed downtown to eat. We live close enough to downtown that we can walk, so that’s just what we did!
The food was delicious, and we have already planned to back soon! After we ate, we still had some time before the parade started so we walked to the coffee shop for coffee.
We may be a small town but we can sure do a Christmas parade!
Once the parade was over, we headed home. Time for a shower and then bedtime!
Sunday
You know the routine – Starbucks, awesome church, and home to relax.
Our church Ladies Christmas fellowship was Sunday night, so we headed to a local restaurant for that. The fellowship was great; there was lots of laughter and good food! Then it was home to get ready for the week!
*linking up with Holly & Sarah for Hello Monday!
