It was a long, busy, yet great weekend!
Thursday
After work, we went for a walk downtown. It was a beautiful afternoon!

After a nice leisurely walk, we were back home for showers, supper, cat loving, and The Chelsea Detective.
Friday
Since we were off work for Good Friday, I had planned on getting up and running, since I wouldn’t be able to fit it in on Saturday. Unfortunately, I woke up with a headache (thanks to the rain moving in). So, I went back to sleep for a little bit longer, then got up, fed the cats, and ate breakfast (and drank my coffee).

Once breakfast was over, we got dressed and headed to the church to help clean, start getting things together, and set up for the Community Egg Hunt the next day. If you remember from 2 weekend updates ago, we were VERY close to being in our new sanctuary…and it flooded. Well, thanks to the AWESOME restoration company, we were going to be in it for Easter! But… that meant we had to clean, clean, clean! We were at the church for several hours, and finally came home to get showers. We were exhausted!

When we got home, we noticed the clematis had finally started blooming, so I had to take a picture:)

After showers and supper, it was off to bed!
Saturday
Saturday morning, I was up early, fed the cats, got dressed, stopped at Chick-fil-A for breakfast and Starbucks for coffee, and headed back to the church for the Community Egg Hunt. It was a big day for the children, and the adults too 😉

After the egg hunt ended and the families in the community went home, a lot of us stayed and continued cleaning and getting ready for Easter Sunday. My mom and I stayed until around 2, and then headed to our mani/pedi appointment. While there, I got two pictures to post of our new sanctuary, reminding our Facebook followers that we would be in the new sanctuary for Easter!! It has taken a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, but we made it! To add, we may not have had the baseboards down, and we may have had a makeshift sound system, but we had our first service in there!

After the nail appointment, it was time for a shower and rest. (This is the picture I sent to my friend of our nail color…mine is not orange as the picture shows. It is more of a coral color – the actual color is “I Eat Mainely Lobster” if that tells you anything LOL. The French tips are my sister’s, and the lavender is my mom’s.)

Sunday
Another early morning because it was Easter Sunday! We got to church, ate our breakfast (Starbucks), and then got to work on what we needed to get done before curch started. We had Sunday School, and then worship. Since it was Easter, the order was different, but still great! Our kids did an Easter skit, and had all of us crying! We had a much bigger crowd (and that’s why we HAD to be in the new sanctuary). We had children’s church in the multipurpose building (and now our children’s church sanctuary). It was a beautiful morning, worshipping our risen Savior, in our new sanctuary!

After church, we picked up lunch on the way home and spent the rest of the day at home, relaxing, trying to recover from the weekend, and getting prepared for the week ahead.

Happy Monday!
