Finishing out my 2020 Book reviews. This month’s book were all set in Alaska, which is fitting for the month that I also went to Alaska.
These books are part of the Moose Springs, Alaska series. Book #3 comes out January 19, 2021 and I cannot wait to read it!
The Tourist Attraction by Sarah Morgenthaler
★★★★.5
Not only has Alaska been on Zoey’s bucket list, it is the whole bucket list. After saving
up her waitress salary and tips for this dream trip, she finally has the opportunity to
go (thanks to her best friend Lana). Once she arrives in Moose Springs, she is
immediately in love with it all! She soon meets Graham, a grumpy local who owns
the diner names “The Tourist Attraction”. Although the name was supposed to be a
joke, the diner is actually very popular with the tourists. Zoey soon sees that there’s
more to the grumpy diner owner than meets the eye….and the local diner owner
soon realizes he is in love with the quirky tourist. It might be a little cheesy but I still
give this rom-com a 4.5 star. I’m sure the Alaskan setting helped!
Mistletoe & Mr. Right by Sarah Morgenthaler
★★★★.5
(
Without giving away the ending of book #1) Zoey has decided to stay in Moose Springs, Alaska for good. We now see Lana (with Zoey’s help) trying to find and catch
the Santa Moose, a mysterious antlered “grinch” that is destroying Christmas
decorations across town. Due to a previous heroic encounter, Lana meets Rick, a
local business owner, and Rick falls for Lana. When Lana accidentally tranquilizes
him instead of the Santa Moose, Rick decides it is time to tell his dream girl how he
feels. This book gets 4.5 stars because…. Alaska, winter, snow, Christmas, and a love
story.
Now I need to finalize my 2021 picks and get started!
