Happy Wednesday, friends! Let’s do this!! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup! Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1. March 15th is known as The Ides of March, the date on which Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 B.C….have you ever been to Rome? If so what did you love most about the city? If not, is this a place you’d like to visit?
I have not been to Rome yet, but I will go in November!! I cannot wait!!
2. ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day.’ What project/activity/improvement (of any kind) do you have going on right now to which this saying might be applied?
Personally? The garage/storage/carport cleanout. Otherwise? The church sanctuary remodel/expansion.
3. Let’s do a little this or that with some Italian foods…
tiramisu~gelato~cannoli?
Caprese salad or Prosciutto with melon?
Bruschetta or Antipasto?
lasagne or ravioli?
bolognese or Carbonara?
Risotto or gnocchi?
- Tiramisu. All three are really good, and I wouldn’t turn down any of it, but Tiramisu wins out every time!
- I have not had a Caprese salad or prosciutto with melon, but after looking them both up, I would try both. I think the Caprese salad might win out of the two, but I would definitely like to try both.
- I would say both, but Bruschetta would probably just edge out with a win.
- Oh, this is a hard one. Both? It depends on where and who makes the lasagne, so I guess ravioli would be my pick, but barely!
- Bolognese!
- I honestly cannot pick! Both risotto and gnocchi!
4. Of the colors red, white, and green which would I find most prevalent in your home? Which one do you think is most flattering to you in terms of your wardrobe? Have you ever had your colors done? Is that something you’d be interested in doing?
In my home, I would say white it more prevalent (but you know there are shades of white, so there’s probably nothing “white white” HAHA). As far as clothes, all three colors are equally prevalent, but as far as most flattering, red…or maybe green because it makes my eyes appear greener ð I have not had my colors done, but I might be interested.
5. Life would be boring without____________________.
ME!! ðĪŠð seriously though, life would be boring without cats ð
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Speaking of Italy and my upcoming trip, I researched Daylight Savings Time in Italy (or more like, whether they do a time change, and if they did, I assumed it was the same as ours – we will be flying into/landing in Europe on the day that the US Daylight Savings Time ends) I found out that they do observe it but their period is shorter. In the US, the period is from Sun, Mar 9, 2025, to Sun, Nov 2, 2025; in Italy, it is from Sun, Mar 30, 2025 â to Sun, Oct 26, 2025. I’m glad my phone has the capability to know what time it is. I would be confused!

A trip to Italy! How exciting! I love so much about so many of the cities there. And the small towns and villages especially. Such a fun thing to have on the calendar to look forward to. Enjoy your day!
