**I am writing this blog post for two reasons:
(1) I want to let a very important person know what he really means to me. Yes, I could tell him in person but for those that really know me, you know that I get extremely emotional and would not be able to speak.
(2) I want everyone who reads this to pray for John and his family. I will not go into details but what the doctors have told him and his family is not good news. But I know God is in control and it is not over until God says it’s over!
I absolutely love this picture! It makes my heart happy and puts a smile on my face 🙂 |
John (Bro. John at church; Dad to Shawn, Andrea, Jacob, & Johnathan; PopPop to his grandkids) became like a member of my family when he and Renee married. (I should probably tell you that I grew up with Shawn, Andrea, Jacob, and Johnathan so they are more like family than friends). He did not just marry Renee and her four children, but he took her children as his own and loved them as his own. At the time, I guess I was not old enough to realize how special that was but now I can really see that John was an exceptional man to not just marry Renee but to really love and take care of her children. This alone would make him a special man.
That being said, not only is he a loving husband and dad to my friends/family, but he is also one of the most intelligent men I know. If you ever talk to him, you immediately know that he has so much knowledge about so many things. I love hearing him talk 🙂 He has such an amazing personality, always enthusiastic. No wonder he is loved by so many people!
(I have to add that Bro. John was very important in getting a Spanish ministry started in our church….and my, how they have grown!:) I know there are other things that he has been very instrumental in but I cannot think of them all right now.)
While this post cannot even come close to showing what he truly means to me, (and to many others, I’m sure), hopefully it gives a glimpse of how important and special Bro. John is.
I love you Bro. John!
