A DIY Hodgepodge [4.2.25]

Happy Wednesday, friends! Let’s do this!! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup! Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1. No foolin’! April is here. What’s one fun thing on your April calendar?

Our Community Egg Hunt!! Our church hosts a community egg hunt, and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger 🙂 Last year, we added a petting zoo, and this year, we’ve added a coffee truck. …and, not forgetting the real reason for Easter, we will have a prayer tent, for anyone who needs prayer 🙂 Who knows what needs there are, and those folks may have never walked into a church before.

2. It’s often said, ‘A fool and his money are soon parted’…what’s the last thing you wasted money on?

HAHA, I haven’t wasted money on anything!! I need it all! Joking…maybe Starburst Jelly Beans. I mean, I’m not letting them go to waste, but I didn’t “need” them. But it is the season for them, so…

3.  April 2nd is National DIY day. Are you a do-it yourself kind of person or maybe you’re married to one? If so, what’s the last thing you DIY-ed? If you’re not a DIY-er what’s the most recent job you had to hire someone to complete?

Yes, and no. It really depends on what it is that needs to be done. I might DIY it. I honestly cannot remember the last thing I DIY-ed. But I know the most recent thing I hired someone to complete was the yard mowing. It just got to the point where it was hard to get the yard mowed, after work, or on the weekends, and trying to dodge the rain. I’d rather pay someone, who can come whenever he can, and I don’t have to worry about the timing.

4. Do you eat lamb? If so do you have a favorite dish that calls for lamb?

I have eaten lamb before but it isn’t something I will pick on a menu. I’d rather eat other things.

5.  Do you fit a stereotype in some way? Explain.

I don’t think I do. Sometimes I think I do certain ones, but then I go “off script” so I don’t completely fit any, or none that I can think of. Now, if we’re talking personality types, I am an ISFJ, and I do fit that 🙂

6. Insert your own random thought here.

I’m ready for vacation…both of them. But I am looking forward to things not related to vacation as well. Maybe I just need a break from work HAHA
