This week’s topic is books we were assigned to read in school. I’ll admit – I wasn’t a fan of most of these books but I do remember being required to read them, and then being tested on them. Only after looking them up for this, do I remember what they are about. I only remembered long enough to take the test HAHA!
1. Of Mice and Men – John Steinbeck
2. The Old Man and the Sea – Ernest Hemingway
3. The Scarlet Letter – Nathaniel Hawthorne
4. Romeo & Juliet – William Shakespeare
5. Macbeth – William Shakespeare
6. Beowulf
7. The Canterbury Tales – Geoffrey Chaucer
8. Death of a Salesman – Arthur Miller
9. The Pearl – John Steinbeck
10. A Raisin in the Sun – Lorraine Hansberry

Great list! I don’t think I’ve read any of these before, so I’ll have to look them up :). I’ve heard many people talking about The Scarlet letter so I should read it some time.

I liked Beowulf.
I did too. It was one of the ones I actually liked.
