Wednesday Hodgepodge [8.21.24]

Happy Wednesday, friends! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup. Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1. What’s the last thing you completely overreacted to?

I honestly can’t think of anything I’ve overracted to lately. I know I have in the past, plenty of times, but thankfully, I haven’t lately 🙂

2. Your top five snacks?

I’m honestly not a big snacker but if I want a snack, this is what I’m currently going for (but not all at the same time LOL: popcorn, graham crackers & Ghirardelli chocolate chips, pineapple chunks, Veggie chips (sour cream & onion or cheddar cheese), or croutons (yes, I just pour some in a bowl and eat them by themselves)

3. What smell always brings back some type of memory? Elaborate.

Bacon cooking in the morning takes me back to when I was a kid (I was able to sleep later then). I would wake up to the smell of bacon from the kitchen. The smell of the ocean takes me back to all of those summer vacations to Folly Beach, SC. I know this sounds like a bad smell (I don’t think of it that way), but there was a certain fishy smell outside of the beach house we always stayed in, like the people before us had probably grilled fish a lot during their stay. A fishy smell is usually a bad thing, but this particular smell just reminded me that we were on our family summer vacation:) I actually smelled something here the other day, in my landlocked hometown, that smelled just like it and reminded me of those vacations again.

4. What’s something you learned from the last book you read?

I don’t know that I learned anything other than, there is another book to “Beauty and the Beast”. It is called “Lost in a Book”. It is really just another part to the story.

5.  What’s the next thing on your to-buy list? Will you make that purchase before the end of the year?

It’s looking like the next thing on my to-buy list will be running earbuds. The ones I have now have decided not to charge every time.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

Between work, church work, and life, I need a vacation. It’s a good thing I get one in just a few days! 🙂

  1. Joyce

Thanks for joining in this week! I just purchased new air pods and so far am liking them. I’ve been walking with them in the mornings, listening to a book, and it’s working out well.
