Happy Wednesday, friends! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup. Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.
1. What was the best (or one of the best) summer of your life? Tell us why.
I think some of the best summers were our family vacations to Folly Beach, SC. It would be my mom, my grandmother and my sister, and then my grandfather, who lived in SC, would also join us. It was something we looked forward to every year.
More recently, my mom and I went to Bar Harbor, ME in July 2018. I would consider it to be one of the best summers too.
2. When you have a trip coming up do you make a list and check it twice to ensure you don’t forget anything? Or are you a ‘throw whatever you can think of into the suitcase at the last minute’ kind of packer? When returning from a trip do you unpack immediately or leave the suitcase right where it lands?
I feel like this question was for me HA! I do make a list and check it more than twice! The list contains all toiletries, hair accessories, miscellaneous (chargers, pillow, etc.), medicines/vitamins, every piece of clothing and every pair of shoes. The list for my upcoming trip also has “PASSPORT” listed because I’m afraid I will forget it! The thought of “throwing everything into the suitcase at the last minute” causes me a lot of anxiety. It stresses me to know this is how people pack too! But, if it works for them, that’s great. It just doesn’t work for me LOL. As soon as I get home, I start unpacking right away. I have to get the laundry going and get my life sorted back out.
3. What’s your favorite food or beverage made with lemons? Is that a flavor you enjoy?
I like lemon meringue pie, lemon pie, and lemonade.
4. When was the last time you had to make lemonade out of lemons, figuratively speaking I mean?
I honestly don’t remember. I’m sure I have had a situation like that, but not recently enough to remember.
5. Did you like school growing up? Why or why not?
I did like school when I was going up. I didn’t have any issues with it. However, hearing how some kids are now, I don’t think I would. I’m sure they were bad then, but I was blessed and didn’t have to experience that.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
HAHA! I’ve felt a lot like this lately!
