Happy Wednesday, friends! It’s time for Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup. Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.
1. What is a childhood habit or preference you will never outgrow?
Reading. I’ve always liked reading. I liked reading less during school when I was “forced” to read certain things, but I’ve always loved books! I LOVED book fair days!
2. Did you know July is beans month? What’s your favorite bean? Your favorite recipe that calls for beans? When it comes to chili are you team beans or team no beans?
I did not know that July is Beans Month. My favorite beans are white beans. Give me a bowl of white beans with cornbread and onion and I’ll be fine. I need nothing else! I think there are too many recipes with beans to name. I’m team beans in chili!
3. Some historical figures have a tagline after their name, something like ‘the brave’ or ‘the wise’ or ‘the mad’…what would your tagline be? Explain why?
Rachel the Organized (I like to be organized) ; Rachel the Happy (I am a happy person. I don’t get sad or down much..honestly); Rachel the Tired (LOL – I feel like I’m always needing a nap)
4. The way to my heart is______________________________.
with cats, coffee, & books; by being kind to those less fortunate; by treating my family & friends right; by loving and serving Jesus.
5. The calendar rolls into August this week, but before we go give us four adjectives that describe your July.
hot, rainy, productive, relaxing.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Vacation will probably not be restful. We want to see and do ALL. THE. THINGS!
Comments
Haha…doing all the things. You’ll need a vacation when you get back from vacation but go ahead and have fun doing all those things. Oh do I love organization. That’s a great tagline to have. Nice answer to #4. Happy last day of July and happy August to you!
Lots of readers in the Hodgepodge it seems. It makes sense that people who enjoy writing also enjoy reading. So often we need a vacation after a vacation : ) Enjoy your travels and I hope you see all the things!
Enjoyed your responses. Beans are nutritious and satisfying. I appreciate being organized, too. Loving and serving Jesus is a wonderful response!
Oh yes, the book fairs. I can still see myself going into the library in elementary school and getting excited about seeing the stacks of books calling me. I need to try white beans. i never rest on vacation. I want to do as much as I can. I can rest at home.
