This week’s topic: books that we wish had more/less (romance, world-building, descriptions, character…pick your own concept) in them. I couldn’t seem to come up with enough books on one concept so I decided to go in the direction of listing multiple concepts that I would like to see more or less of in books.
1. More cats & coffee
…at the same time.
2. More storylines in/around bookstores
I realize there are a lot already but I love them so I want more
3. Less of an author’s “views” coming through
I’m not saying they aren’t allowed to have an opinion but some books make it obvious how the author views politics, etc., and the storyline would be perfectly fine without it. If it adds some value to the story, that’s fine, but if there is no value added other than the author just getting their opinion out there, then there needs to be less of it.
4. More well-written, as accurate as possible, historical fiction
I’ve been on a historical fiction kick lately, and thankfully, what I’ve read has been very well-written
5. More books set in Iceland
I have discovered a few but I feel like there should be more.

More Icelandic books would be grand!
This is a great list! I am suddenly wondering if I have even read a book set in Iceland.
