Wednesday Hodgepodge [5.29.24]

Happy Wednesday, friends! I just found Joyce‘s Wednesday Hodgepodge linkup last month, thanks to another blogger (Jennifer) that I follow and link up with at other times. Here are this week’s questions with my answers in italics.

1. Growing up, at what age did you think you’d become an adult? At what age did you actually become an adult?

As a child, I thought I would be an adult at 18. I still haven’t grown up! LOL. Seriously though, I think the day I went to college is probably when I most felt like an adult. I was on my own and I had to figure things out!

2.  What’s a favorite item you’ve bought this year?

This raincoat. I like that it has an extra removable layer. For cold rainy days, that extra jacket makes a huge difference. Then, remove it for summer’s rainy days! It is great for those non-rainy, but windy days too.

3. May 28th is National Hamburger Day…are you a fan? If so, how do you like yours? When was the last time you had a hamburger? Besides the backyard grill, what’s your favorite place to go for a burger?

I love a burger!! How I eat them depends on the day, the mood, the place, etc. I will always have cheese on it (American, cheddar, swiss). I will almost always have mayonnaise, and usually ketchup and mustard. The last time I had a burger was last Sunday, at our church Family Fun Day. There are too many great burger places for me to name!

4. How have your priorities changed over time?

I care less about what others think about me. I used to care WAY TOO MUCH but there are far more important things to worry about than what others think. The most important thing is making it to heaven!

5. What’s one thing on your June calendar you’re really looking forward to?

Vacation Bible School! It is exhausting but fun!

6. Insert your own random thought here.

As Christians, we often hear about how wonderful and beautiful Heaven is, will be. I never pushed that out of my mind. I did take the time to think about it, but since my grandmother’s passing on May 21, I have really REALLY thought about it. What is she seeing? How beautiful is it? I know it has to be more beautiful than we can even imagine!
