It was a busy weekend, but not too busy.
Friday Night
Friday night was nothing exciting. It was spent relaxing and doing laundry. After visiting with my grandmother, we did watch some TV while eating supper. Then, I was off to bed because I had a run the next morning.
Saturday
Saturday morning, at 7:45 am, I, along with 1300+ other runners (and walkers), participated in our local 10K. It is a great race every year. A lot of the homes along the run route will sit outside and cheer us on, and some even have DJs and what I call “hype parties”. Before 2020, local factories/businesses would set up along the route as well, and hand out water. This seemed to have gone away until this year, but I noticed two of the bigger corporations were back out on the route this year! I love the hype and support for the community! It does make running more fun! 🙂
After returning from the run, my mom and I washed and vacuumed my grandmother’s vehicle. We had taken it through the carwash but the pollen, tree sap, whatever was so stuck on my grandmother’s vehicle that the carwash didn’t even touch it:/ So, we decided to take time after the run to do it ourselves. While we were already out there, we vacuumed out our vehicles and cleaned the inside as well. By the time that was finished, it was about lunchtime and I still hadn’t eaten or had coffee, and I was getting tired. I thought coffee and food would help. But, even after a cup of coffee, and lunch, I still felt so tired. So, I took a 30-minute nap. The girls must have needed one too, and I was in the perfect place for them HAHA
I felt 100% better after my nap and was ready to finish the rest of the things I needed to finish (which included church work and finishing laundry). I did get some of the church work finished before showering, but after doing a few things at my grandmother’s, eating supper, and watching TV, I did have to finish the rest of it (there was quite a lot of work this weekend). I took my laptop to my room, and finished what needed to be done while sitting on my bed (I have a lap desk type thing). It was late when I finished, but it got done!
Sunday
Sunday was our Next Steps Sunday. But, before that, I had a meeting. So, my Sunday went as follows: Starbucks stop, meeting, classes/Sunday School, awesome worship, and a great message, followed by our “Lunch with the Pastors” lunch.
After that, I updated the church sign, stopped at the car wash, and then headed home to relax and prepare for the week. Part of that includes finishing and posting the girls’ 3rd birthday post 🙂
