On the first Friday of each month, I will chat over coffee about what’s happening with me. So, grab a coffee (iced or hot) and pull up a chair!
If we were to sit down for a chat over coffee, I would say that this is my favorite time of year and I am here for ALL of the festivities! I have a Jolly Jog, Christmas parade, and church Ladies’ Christmas dinner this weekend. Monday, another Christmas parade. Next weekend, a Reindeer Run, children’s Christmas play, and Cookies & Cocoa. It’s a lot, but it’s a lot of festive!
If we were to sit down for a chat over coffee, I would tell you that I am also excited about the new year. There is something about the end of the year/beginning of the new, that just gets me all kind of motivated. I have the momentum to get church work done, ready, and implemented. I get runs planned and trained for. I love the momentum that comes with a brand-new year!
If we were to sit down for a chat over coffee, I would say that, speaking of running, I have a 12.5K trail run on the 6th day of January, and it is the first time I have one where I need to spend the night before in a hotel because it is too far to drive the morning of, and I am excited about it! I am traveling and then running with a friend and I am looking forward to it!

I love how festive it gets this time of year + I feel like people are usually on the nicer side, which is always a plus!
I’m not quite ready for 2023 to be over but I agree with you on the momentum of a new year — I’ve got a lot of plans for it! ๐
Yes!
I do like the festivities of the season and the promise of a new year!
Your Jan race sounds fun โ- especially going with a friend! Iโve only done 3 races where I had to travel. Packing is stressful, but otherwise itโs a nice adventure!
I want to do more runs where I can travel, but that travel takes more time than local runs so it is hard Maybe I can make a few more happen though!
I enjoy this festive time of year as well. All the best with your trail run!
Thank you!
