It’s time for another Monthly Musing. This time we’re talking about essential spring fashion pieces.
1. How do I transition my wardrobe?
I take the winter clothes out of the closet, lay them on my bed, and pull the spring/summer clothes out of storage. I then start hanging the clothes that need to be hung and organize the folded clothes. As I’m hanging and organizing, I am also determining if something is too big (or small), and whether I have worn it or will wear it. I usually try to do this as I store them for winter but sometimes it doesn’t get done, or I changed my mind about “needing it”. Once the spring clothes are finished, I begin deciding what winter clothes to keep, and store them. As I’m typing this, there is currently a pile of spring clothes that need to be hung (I’ve been busy), but I also need to go back through and get rid of more clothes because I know I’m not going to wear them so why continue to keep them?
2. Favorite spring item?
It’s not an item but two of my favorite things about Spring is, one, being able to open the windows at home, and, two, everything blooming out and looking pretty (not a fan of the pollen but it is what it is). The cats love the windows being open too!
3. Favorite spring footwear?
a mix between my Ugg sneakers and sandals. It depends on the weather, outfit, and mood. I really love my Ugg sneakers but some days, my toes and feet need air HA!
4. Favorite colors I wear in spring?
mostly pastels and bright colors. I have no particular favorite but I do seem to be drawn more to colors along the lines of teals, mints, and coral.
5. Favorite spring accessory?
sunglasses. The sun is out more, and it’s just brighter in general, so sunglasses are important.
6. Ways to add spring to my outfit even when the weather doesn’t cooperate?
add any bright color under a sweater or raincoat
7. Do you change up your makeup routine in the spring?
I don’t wear makeup, so no, but I do use moisturizer and that doesn’t change.
8. Puff sleeve trend…yes or no?
absolutely yes!! I actually have a few in my wardrobe 🙂 Now, I’m not one for the really big puff (I’m 5’3″ so it can’t be bigger than me) but I am definitely here for some puff.
9. Do you change up your mani/pedi colors in spring?
not really, but I do tend to choose more springy colors.
10. Recommend your favorite spring handbag/tote.
I use the same bag all the time, and it is either black or cognac. Those are neutrals so they work for every season. I have seen cute bags that I love but I am almost always carrying a laptop backpack to church, so the only time I really carry my handbag is going to work, so I won’t allow myself to buy a cute one, yet.

Oh I love the scarf you tied to your bag- that looks so pretty! I am all about opening the windows in spring and agree with you- one of my favorite things to do in this season 🙂
Thank you! That scarf actually came with it! It was advertised so it was a nice surprise when I got it. I love it so much better with the scarf.
I love the spring flowers too! And although I don’t think I’m a fan of the puffed sleeve trend, I do really like that grey top.
Thank you!
Oh I really like that tote!
Thanks for joining us for Monthly Musings.
