I recently found this linkup and I wanted to join in with Marsha in the Middle. Every month has a different prompt but let’s get into April’s:

Diamonds are the birthstone for April. Tell us about ten “Diamonds” in your life, real or still in the rough!
#1 My furbabies are definitely diamonds!
Those sweet babies make me happy. They make me smile 🙂
#2 My friends are diamonds!
I am very particular about my closest friends (I know that sounds shallow…). I’m an introvert so people wear me out. However, the diamond friends…they get that I need “a moment” sometimes LOL
#3 My family may be small, but they are big diamonds!
Oh, I love them the most!
#4 My church is a diamond.
I’m not just saying this because it is my church; we are the most loving church. Our recovery program meets every Tuesday night, so we have all kinds of people coming in (and some don’t come to the program…they just have rough lives). But we love them all. We strive to love like Jesus every day!
#5 Days at home, with the windows open, loving on cats. Now that is a diamond!
My favorite!!
#6 The yard is still a diamond in the rough, but I feel like we will eventually get there!
I feel like, right now, it is looking pretty good 🙂 But I know other things need to happen.
#7 My room is a (I hope) diamond in the rough.
My room is something I’m trying to constantly improve. It’s not even moving furniture. It’s trying to organize it the way I want it (and that changes more often than it should HA!) But it is slowly but surely getting there. I’m sure it will be a diamond someday!
#8 Our church remodel is a diamond in the rough, but it is almost done!
Our church sanctuary remodel/expansion has taken longer than it should, and then was slowed down even more by a flood a weekend and a half ago, but again, we are almost there!! It is already looking beautiful to me!
#9 My fitness is a diamond in the rough…or just rough LOL
I’m trying. I was getting to the gym or running or walking outside at least three times a week, but now I struggle to get two. I think part of this is that I had to start driving to a different facility once a week for work, and I’m on the road longer. Plus, there were two weeks and weekends back to back that were so busy, but I’m trying to get it all figured out.
#10 Trying to stay on top of blog posts is a diamond in the rough.
I think this is a little of the same reason as the running…more time on the road, and busyness. I can do pretty good about planning them out, but then getting (or maybe taking) the time to type them up and schedule them is the issue. I still feel like I will get it straight, someday.

Your church sounds like a brilliant Diamond shining in the darkness and the light. Fitness? What’s that? Hahaha! I should have listed that one, too! I’m so glad you linked up with me!
