This week’s topic is Indie books. To be honest I really did not know what that meant. So, after looking it up, “indie” basically means a book that is self-published or published by an independent press. As I was doing the research on what Indie actually means, I found several books that have been released or are releasing this year that I want to read so here is that list:
1. Boundless as the Sky by Dawn Raffel (available now)
2. Who Gets Believed?: When the Truth Isn’t Enough by Dina Nayeri (available now)
3. Fieldwork: A Forager’s Memoir by Iliana Regan (available now)
4. This Wide Terraqueous World by Laird Hunt (available now)
5. Maame by Jessica George (available now)
6. The Mitford Affair by Marie Benedict (available now)
7. Decent People by De’Shawn Charles Winslow (available now)
8. Eastbound by Maylis De Kerangal & (translated by) Jessica Moore (available now)
9. My Father’s House by Joseph O’Connor (available now)
10. Company: Stories by Shannon Sanders (available October 3)
